Dried Flower Wreathes

Dried flower wreathes are often handmade. This is because the materials used within them, although specially preserved to be long-lasting, are very fragile. This can add some extra expense however many will agree that the results are worth it.

The complexity of dried flower wreathes can vary greatly. Some people will choose simply one type of flower or plant for the design. Flax or awned wheat are two great examples. In the case of the latter, it is often chosen as a symbol of friendship.

Dried flower wreathes may also be very complex and ornate. Some will have upwards of eight different flower species in a variety of colors. Others will have a wide range of plant species, yet keep the color scheme monochromatic. Also, it is not necessary to keep to the standard circle frame of a wreath. Plenty designs incorporate other shapes as well.
